saturdays

I like Saturdays. It brings a much needed pause from a whirlwind of a work week. It’s also the day I go through a little reset ritual.

  • cleaning the apartment
  • clearing surfaces as much as possible
  • emptying my backpack
  • replacing the bedding
  • putting away unused things
  • cleaning up computer files
  • processing a couple of bookmarks
  • processing emails and DMs
  • updating software*

Then when things are once again in their pristine states, the rest of the day is left to the whims of leisure. These days I usually read, frequent art galleries and cafés, walk around Sukhumvit with a film camera, or just lounge on the couch and play Rain World or Stardew Valley or watch films/series, if the sun is shining at beyond tolerable levels.

Today, I spent a coffee-fuelled afternoon reading The Tatami Galaxy () by Tomihiko Morimo. In the evening, I continued practicing digital art and played with Krita’s colour blending mode.
